Episode 003: They’re the New Book! Why You Should Podcast for Your Business (Reason #2)

Artwork-2021

Podcasts can be thought of as the new book. You’ve probably heard the cliche, “Oh, that person wrote the book on this specific topic. They are an expert.” If you write a book, you are naturally seen as an expert on a subject. The same can be said for podcast hosts that create a podcast around a very specific topic.

Get this: in a 200 page book, you’ll average about 55,000 words. And, most people speak 125 words per minute. Breaking it down, that’s 2500 words in a 20-minute podcast. If you produce 22 episodes of that podcast and you’ve basically written a book out loud. Congratulations! You are an expert!

In this episode, I share:

  • How podcasts help you establish yourself as an authoritative figure
  • My own personal story of the podcast expertise effect in action
If you listened to the the previous episode,  you are also an expert people like, know and trust.  You can go back and listen to it, here.
